FedBot Privacy Policy

FedBot respects user privacy and is committed to transparency about how data is collected and used. FedBot operates through the Discord platform using the official Discord API.

2. Information We Collect

FedBot may collect and store: Discord User IDs, Discord Server IDs, federation alert submissions, alert reasons and evidence links, and basic command usage metadata. FedBot does not collect: Discord passwords, private messages outside of bot commands, or personal identifying information beyond Discord IDs.

3. How Data Is Used

Collected information is used to: provide federation alerts between participating servers, display moderation information through the dashboard, and improve system reliability and security.

4. Data Sharing

Federation alerts may be shared between servers participating in the same federation network. FedBot does not sell, rent, or trade user data to third parties.

5. Data Retention

Data may be stored as long as necessary to operate the service and maintain federation records. Administrators may request removal of server-specific data.

6. Security

FedBot uses reasonable safeguards to protect stored information. However, no system can guarantee absolute security.

7. Third-Party Services

FedBot relies on the Discord platform and its API to function. Use of FedBot is also subject to Discord's own policies and terms.

8. Changes to this Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically. Continued use of the service after updates indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
